One contract signed today that stands out is the five-year $251M one for Bradley Beal. Negotiated by Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports , the Beal contract consists of a no trade clause.
Since Beal will make roughly $28.75 million in 2020-21, the Wizards can offer him no more than $34.5 million in 2021-22. That's less than what he can earn as a free agent that year.
Essentially, Beal will push off his free agency, which was scheduled for 2021, until 2022 when he can opt out and hit the market. The contract was first reported by ESPN .
