The New York Jets had a bit of a jumpscare Thursday at practice when newly signed starting quarterback Justin Fields went down with an injury and was carted off the field. It was quickly reported that Fields suffered a dislocated toe and would be day-to-day while he recovers.
Despite besting Lawrence in the Sugar Bowl with a six-touchdown performance, Fields’ stock continued to fall. And come draft time, the Robert Saleh-led Jets made the decision to select Zach Wilson.
