New York City Mayor Eric Adams said his meeting with President-elect Donald Trump went “well,” and shared a few details about what the two did — and perhaps more importantly, did not — discuss. The Democratic mayor flew on Thursday to Florida to see the president-elect.

Mayor Eric Adams said that a meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump was about New York City’s future. Each man has his own reasons to forge close ties.

Adams’ office said he had “made quite clear his willingness to work with President-elect Trump and his incoming administration on behalf of New Yorkers.”
