The communication style hasn't changed, though Williams knows how to take it now that he and Johnson have made strides together.

Ben Johnson is putting even more on Caleb Williams' plate this season, which could lead to another leap for the Bears star.

"Elite arm talent, playmaking ability, escape-ability. He has his legs that he can hurt a defense with. There's just so many layers to who he is as a player," Johnson said of Williams.

Ben Johnson helped turn the Bears around in his first season, but his willingness to learn from Chicago's veteran coaching staff may be his greatest strength as a leader.
