The City of Madison has announced multiple street closures and parking restrictions for the Coldplay concert at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday, July 19.

Coldplay will be the first band to play at Camp Randall since 1997, and it will be the band’s first performance in Wisconsin since 2009. The last band to perform in Camp Randall was The Rolling Stones during their “Bridges to Babylon Tour.”

Coldplay found itself in the center of a storm when a camera panned to a couple in an embrace during a show on its “Music of the Spheres World Tour” at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 16, prompting frontman Chris Martin to say, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
