KL Rahul emerged as one of the most notable signings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction in Jeddah. After being released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rahul was acquired by Delhi Capitals (DC) for Rs 14 crore at the mega auction.

KL Rahul has found a new home in Delhi Capitals. The star batter though has been churning out runs for the teams he represented but has not been able the franchises over the line to win trophies as a leader. The Delhi-based franchise on the other hand too does not have any trophies in its cabinet to show off.

KL Rahul had parted ways with LSG after three years, with LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka later saying he wanted players who prioritise the team over personal milestones.
