KANSAS CITY -- The Pitt Panthers just cannot get over the hump. Five straight Final Four appearances has resulted in five straight Final Four losses, as they fell to the Texas A&M Aggies 3-0. Pitt has made five straight Final Four appearances, and has been unable to capitalize on a single one.
After taking down a No. 2 seed and No. 1 seed in their side of the bracket, the Aggies took down another No. 1 seed Thursday night, downing Pitt in three sets. Pitt (30-5) hadn't been swept all season. So far Texas A&M has 61 blocks and 29 aces. It'll face either Kentucky or Wisconsin for a national title.
