CLEVELAND -- Gleyber Torres is getting a day off one day after he left Saturday’s game in the first inning with a neck contusion. Colt Keith will lead off and play second base in Sunday’s series finale against the Cleveland Guardians. The Tigers (56-34) and Guardians (40-47) play at 1:40 p.m. at Progressive Field.

The Tigers announced that Torres had sustained a neck contusion. Obviously, no neck injury is something to be taken lightly. But it appears Torres escaped disaster. He’s been so good this season, his first with the Tigers after coming over from the Yankees.
