Funeral services for the Greenville police officer who was killed in the line of duty last week will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall. Mourners paying their final respects to Officer Cooper Dawson will be allowed inside the church,

Family and police are preparing a final farewell for fallen officer Cooper Dawson who was shot during a foot chase.

Neither the officer nor the suspect's conditions are known, but Greenville police said both are receiving medical attention.

Greenville Police Officer Cooper Dawson was remembered on Tuesday as a loving father and devoted police officer. Dawson was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 25.

Funeral services for a Greenville police officer gunned down Monday while in a foot chase are being finalized, the department says. Meanwhile, a memorial continues to grow outside of the police station.

ROCKWALL – Fallen Greenville Police Officer Cooper Dawson will be laid to rest Tuesday morning. Dawson, 27, was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 25. Police said he was conducting a traffic stop that evening that led to a foot pursuit.
