While border czar Tom Homan has said the ICE agents will be assisting with security, images have circulated showing officers largely standing around.

President Trump said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will assist TSA agents at airports as delays and security staffing shortages continue to worsen.

The starting salary for a TSA agent is $34,454, while most make between $46,000 and $55,000 per year.

Gov. Mikie Sherrill plans to sign three bills passed by the New Jersey legislature that would make the state's sanctuary policy law, ban ICE from wearing masks, and shield immigration data.

California state Sen. Scott Wiener reposted the video on X, condemning the agency and demanding that ICE leave California. “ICE was at SFO airport last night, terrorizing a mother while her daughter watched,” he wrote.

ICE personnel arrived at more than a dozen U.S. airports Monday as TSA staffers worked without pay, and travelers still faced long security lines.
