COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen is back in charge of an NHL team once again. The Buffalo Sabres promoted Kekäläinen to GM on Monday as they fired Kevyn Adams.

"Kevyn Adams has been relieved of his duties as general manager of the Buffalo Sabres,” Pegula said. “I would like to thank Kevyn for his dedication and loyalty to the Buffalo Sabres. He has been a reliable presence, and we are appreciative of his enduring care and commitment. I personally wish him and his entire family all the best."

The Buffalo Sabres are making a change at the general manager position. News emerged that Kevyn Adams was fired from the post on Monday. Buffalo announced that Jarmo Kekäläinen will take over on a full time basis.
