CINCINNATI — The Reds traded Jonathan India and Joey Wiemer to the Royals for Brady Singer last week. They received a B+ from ESPN analyst Bradford Doolittle.

The Reds sent the second baseman and outfielder Joey Wiemer to the Kansas City Royals on Friday for starting pitcher Brady Singer, addressing one of their biggest needs of the offseason and loosening up an infield logjam that more easily fits the return of Matt McLain and possibly even some playing time for Santiago Espinal.

India and Singer were college teammates at the University of Florida from 2016-18 and they won the College World Series together in 2017. They were both first-round picks in 2018 as well. The Reds selected India with the No. 3 pick. The Royals took Singer with the No. 18 selection. Now they've been traded for one another.
