Utah coach Kyle Whittingham is stepping down from his post, the school announced on Friday. Whittingham, 66, has been Utah's coach since 2005 and has been with the program as a position coach since 1994. Morgan Scalley, a Utah assistant since 2007 and Whittingham's defensive coordinator since 2016, will take over as head coach.
Kyle Whittingham, the most successful coach in the history of the Utah football program, will be stepping down after the Las Vegas Bowl game on December 31.
