Despite losing star Stephen Curry to a hamstring injury in the first half, the Golden State Warriors still made it past the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. But if Curry is sidelined for an extended period of time, the series could flip instantly.

Golden State defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 99-88 at Target Center to take a 1-0 lead, but Stephen Curry was ruled out for the remainder of the contest in the first half with a left hamstring strain.

The Wolves enter as favorites to win the series against the Warriors, but they were underdogs against the Lakers in the first round. Anthony Edwards starred against L.A., posting 26.8 points per game. Edwards got plenty of help as Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert all had their moments in the series win.
