Matthew Boyd pitched six innings of one-hit, one-run ball and Dansby Swanson hit a tiebreaking home run in the Chicago Cubs’ 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.

Swanson connected against Ryan Borucki (1-3) with two out in the sixth inning, giving Chicago a 2-1 lead with a solo drive into the bleachers in left-center.

Andrew McCutchen, the second batter of the game, homered to give the Bucs a 1-0 lead early. It was McCutchen’s 32nd career homer against the Cubs, which ties him for second-most among active players with Paul Goldschmidt. Eugenio Suárez leads with 36.
