A house fire claimed the life of a man late Monday night in the South Park area, according to fire officials.Houston Fire Department officials said the fire broke out just after 10 p.m. at a home on Doulton Drive near Martin Luther King Jr.

Firefighters reminded Houstonians to stay safe while using space heaters as temperatures drop outside. The exact cause of the fatal fire is under investigation.
