The Eagles lost to the Raiders in the New Orleans Superdome in 1981 in Super Bowl XV. In 2005, they lost SB XXXIX to the Patriots at Alltel Stadium (now EverBank Stadium), which is roofless. In 2023, they lost SB LVIII at State Farm Stadium with the roof open. The Eagles’ one Super Bowl win was at the indoor venue U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Many played big roles in the last Super Bowl meeting. Hurts rushed for three TDs and threw a 45-yard scoring strike to Brown, while Mahomes threw three TD passes, including one to Kelce, Nick Bolton returned a fumble for a touchdown and Harrison Butker kicked the game-winning field goal with 8 seconds left.

The Eagles are the only team that beat Vince Lombardi in the postseason, handing the legendary Packers coach a 17-13 loss in the 1960 NFL Championship. That was Lombardi’s second year as head coach in Green Bay and his first playoff game with the team.
