Rams-49ers injury report: 2 of LA's starters upgraded on Thursday
For the 49ers, Ricky Pearsall remained a non-participant, missing practice once again. Brock Purdy was limited for the second straight day and is uncertain to play against the Rams, while Dee Winters was downgraded from limited to DNP.
With Jones under center, the 49ers are 5-3 despite a rotating cast of skill position players aside from star running back Christian McCaffrey. On Sunday, tight end George Kittle said three straight times that he did not expect Jones to be as good as he's been after the Niners signed him to a two-year deal worth up to $8.4 million in March.
In the Rams' two losses this season, they suffered blocked kicks but on Sunday, it appears the tide has turned. The Rams went six for six on PATs (they attempted no field goals since they scored six touchdowns), with Harrison Mevis making his first ever start as a kicker and with Jake McQuaide returning as the team's long snapper.
