The Jerry Dipoto-led Mariners are (a) famously a team that doesn’t do much in free agency, and (b) seemingly content with their existing infield options. The fact that Boras is now reaching out to teams like that in order to drum up a market doesn’t bode well for Bregman.
For Bregman to land in the Phoenix area, where he lives in the offseason, the DBacks would likely have to unload Ketel Marte first.
