The Colorado State football team started fast against UNLV but quickly petered out, and UNLV dominated rest of the way in a blowout win.

It evidently proved to be too much, resulting in CSU’s first shutout game of the season. Yet after a defeating rivalry loss, the Rams took the time to return to their family, reflect and practice through the bye week to take on UNLV. Despite a solid start from CSU, the Rebels quickly took over.

For a few fleeting moments Saturday night at Canvas Stadium, it looked like Colorado State was going to compete with UNLV. The Rams led 10-7 midway through the second quarter. Then the Rebels got their offense rolling while the Rams’ sputtered and UNLV scored 35 unanswered points to claim a 42-10 victory,
