Weslaco East (Texas) will be in the market for a new head football coach for the 2026 season. On Monday, Mike Burget, who has been at the school since 2006, announced his retirement. He’s been the Wildcats’ head coach since 2013 and is the winningest head coach in Weslaco ISD history.
