A rare atmospheric effect called selenelion could briefly let skywatchers see the rising sun and a blood moon at the same time.

A total lunar eclipse will be visible across Minnesota early Tuesday morning.

Referring back to NASA’s Visibility Map, the penumbral phase will kick off at 08:44, partial 09:50, and total 11:04, with totality ending at 12:03 (UTC).
