WWE hosts its annual Royal Rumble event next month, the official start to the road to WrestleMania this April. The show is headlined by a men's and women's 30-person over-the-top battle royal , where the winners of each match will earn a world championship match at WWE's biggest show, WrestleMania.

The long-awaited WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is fast approaching, and many top stars have already announced their appearance for the 30-person gimmick matches.

Nia Jax might well be 'Queen Of The Ring', but her royalty will be downplayed once Charlotte Flair returns to telly. After all, Flair's nickname has been 'Queen' for years now, and that's not about to change. She'll receive a monster pop if she's at the Rumble then wins the whole thing; WWE fans haven't seen Charlotte work since December 2023.

Female WWE stars have only had a Royal Rumble since 2018. Asuka won the first edition but lost to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34. Becky Lynch won the next year, followed by Flair in 2020.

With so much hype centred around Raw's January 6th Netflix debut (and indeed WWE moving onto the world's biggest streaming service days earlier) and yet another Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25th, there was a sense that the Royal Rumble might sneak up on people this year.
