New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton, who has missed the entire 2025 season due to torn tendons in both elbows, confirmed to reporters Wednesday that he could return by the end of May, per ESPN's Jorge Castillo.

New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton told reporters on Wednesday that he hopes to rejoin the big-league lineup before the end of May. Stanton, who isn't eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list until May 27, has missed the entire season to date due to elbow tendinitis in both arms.

Stanton, who has been out since February with tennis elbow in both arms, took live at-bats at Yankee Stadium before Tuesday’s 12-3 victory over the San Diego Padres. The five-time All-Star grounded out to shortstop and drew a walk against rehabbing reliever Jake Cousins.
