The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today the team has signed forward Joel Kiviranta to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season.

The Colorado Avalanche can’t quit Joel Kiviranta. The team and veteran left wing agreed to a one-year contract for the third consecutive season, the team announced Friday morning. The salary number was not disclosed.

Kiviranta, 29, recorded career highs in goals (16), assists (seven), points (23) and game-winning goals (two) in 79 games last season with Colorado. The Finland native played on a one-year, $775,000 deal last season.
