Prince Harry has claimed that his wife, Meghan Markle, would not have received security protection as a member of the Royal Family without his personal intervention. The Duke of Sussex made this allegation in a lengthy letter published on Sussex.

Buckingham Palace has issued a rare statement after Prince Harry lost an appeal Friday to regain taxpayer-funded security in the UK and later told the BBC that he wanted to reconcile with his family.

After the court decision, Harry told the BBC from California that he wants "reconciliation" with the royal family, though he is currently not in contact with his father.
