Detroit hosted the draft last year before going on to win the NFC North, while the 2025 edition will be in Green Bay. Green Bay is, of course, home of the Packers, who are coming off a third-place finish in the division. The Lions also defeated the Packers in both of their head-to-head matchups last season.

At a pre-draft event hosted by the Detroit Economic Club on Monday, Lions president and CEO Rod Wood took a shot at the division rival Green Bay Packers, which will host to the 2025 NFL Draft this week after Detroit's record-setting event last year.

NFL Draft hasn't even started in Green Bay, but Detroit Lions executives are already lobbying to bring the event back to their city. Team president Rod Wood took a shot at the Lions' NFC North rival while making his case for the draft to return to Detroit.
