According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Guardians were close to trading Steven Kwan to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline. They were so close that a general manager said, "Everyone in baseball thought (the Dodgers) were getting Kwan."

The Cleveland Guardians reportedly opted not to trade two-time All-Star Steven Kwan at the trade deadline, according to Zack Meisel of The Athletic.

According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays have attempted to trade for outfielder Steven Kwan. With the Guardians sitting at 54-54, the 27-year-old is coveted by the two postseason-bound teams.
