Hemant Soren will be sworn in as the 14th chief minister of Jharkhand, a decision taken by JMM and its INDIA bloc allies, day after securing a stunning victory in the Jharkhand Assembly Elections, the results of which were announced Saturday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance secured a landslide victory in Maharashtra and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led INDIA bloc stormed back to power in Jharkhand.

The ministers who bit dust included Health minister Banna Gupta who courted several controversies besides Water Resources minister Mithilesh Thakur.
