TikTok CEO Shou Chew has been reaching out to President-elect Trump confidante Elon Musk, who also owns X, in an effort to find out the new administration's tech policy plans.

ByteDance-owned TikTok Chief Executive Officer Shou Zi Chew has sought input on U.S. matters from Elon Musk, a close adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday citing people familiar with the matter.

The popular video app and Chinese parent ByteDance view the rival social-media owner as conduit to the president-elect.

While sharing an anecdote about recent host John Mulaney, the SNL alum revealed he’s returning to the NBC sketch comedy show next month amid his guest appearances as Joe Biden and Musk.

The comments come after the X owner criticized Carvey's impression on the post-election edition of 'Saturday Night Live.'
