The Phoenix Suns' long pursuit of Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler may be coming to an end. According to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, some around the NBA believe the Suns are backing off a deal for the superstar: "There has been some chatter since last night of the Suns pulling away from Jimmy Butler trade talks and focusing on improving their roster by moving Jusuf Nurkic.

The Suns may feel like acquiring Butler is the only way to fix their broken roster. But they’d only be buying a big headache.

It would be good, bad and ugly. Butler is exactly the alpha male the Suns need inside the locker room. He is exactly the kind of teammate that brings out the best in Kevin Durant. He is a basketball assassin, and Butler would deliver all the smoldering intensity and true grit the Suns frequently lack.
