Russia is engaged in a massive missile and drone attack targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure and explosions were occurring in cities across the country.

Russia carried out its second big attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure this month on Thursday, with national and local officials reporting blasts and emergency power cuts across the country effecting hundreds of thousands of people.

The sound of explosions could be heard in Kyiv Thursday morning as Russia targeted Ukraine’s power system in a new air assault, the second large-scale barrage this month.
