President Donald Trump announced tariffs of 25% on goods from Japan and South Korea beginning on Aug. 1, as he moved to impose unilateral rates on countries that have not yet secured trade deals with his administration.

Three people were killed and 10 others injured in a shooting early Monday in a South Philadelphia neighborhood, authorities said.

Police are investigating a mass shooting on the 1500-block of South 27th Street that left nine people injured and three dead. Officers from Philadelphia Police Department's Shooting Investigation Group say nine of the victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and three to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Tropical Storm Chantal is forecast to bring heavy rains as it moves inland across northeastern South Carolina on Sunday. Tropical storm warnings were issued for portions of the two Carolinas, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

Tropical Storm Chantal was downgraded to a depression on Sunday after making landfall in South Carolina. The system hit land near Litchfield Beach at about 4 a.m. ET on Sunday, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said and was moving into northern North Carolina overnight Monday.
