Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones is trying to avoid any further eyebrow-raising comments about the Micah Parsons contract negotiations after last week's mishap.

Despite star pass rusher Micah Parsons still waiting for a new contract, Dallas Cowboys COO and co-owner Stephen Jones said his team doesn't "drag deals out."

Micah is entering the fifth-year option on his rookie deal, paying him $24 million (“An easy $20 million sitting at practice…” as Jerry Jones has said), but his contract-related hold in is continuing to nag at the Cowboys faithful pleading for something to change.
