The Minnesota Vikings ' rookie draft class got their first NFL action in Saturday's 20-10 victory over the Houston Texans. Four of their five picks played, as tight end Gavin Bartholomew remains on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list with a back injury.

Jordan Mason showed why the Vikings traded for him this offseason, running four times for 20 yards. But it was third-year running back Zavier Scott who stole the show, running seven times for 40 yards, helping spearhead a 94-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter.

Houston then got their first turn on offense behind Davis Mills at quarterback. The (mostly) second-team defense didn’t put up a whole lot of resistance, as the Texans marched into the end zone, scoring on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Mills to Braxton Berrios to take a 7-3 lead late in the first quarter.
