A stretch of westbound Interstate 10 was closed for hours in west Phoenix after a deadly shooting Wednesday morning, authorities said.

According to early police reports, one man shot at another before pulling off the highway and calling 911 from a nearby restaurant.

A fatal road-rage shooting ended with a man calling 911 on himself in Arizona, police said. The incident happened just after 8 a.m. Jan. 15 on Interstate 10, the Phoenix Police Department said in a news release. Two men got into a “confrontation” while driving on the freeway, police said.
