Jamal Murray had 21 points and nine assists, Russell Westbrook added 19 points and eight assists and the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 126-103 on Wednesday night in a matchup of short-handed teams.

Nuggets: Coach Michael Malone made a change from Tuesday night by starting former Clipper DeAndre Jordan in Jokic’s place and bringing Dario Saric off the bench. Jordan finished with a season-high 12 points and tied his season high with nine rebounds.

Norman Powell scores 30 points, but the Kawhi-less Clippers can’t keep up with Jamal Murray (21), Westbrook (19) and a Denver team playing without Nikola Jokic, 126-103.

Kawhi Leonard is in no rush to break free of the minutes restriction he’s been playing under since making his season debut recently.

The Nuggets had six players in double figures in Wednesday’s resounding win over the Clippers without Nikola Jokic.

Julian Strawther contributed 16 points, Christian Braun added 15 and DeAndre Jordan had a season-high 12 points along with nine rebounds for Denver. The Nuggets, who lost to the visiting Boston Celtics on Tuesday, are 8-0 in the second game of back-to-backs.

The 59-point win by the Clippers marked the largest in the franchise’s 55-year history, and the largest out of the 597 games played in the NBA this season. It was also the worst loss in the 58-year history of the Nets, a franchise that entered the NBA in 1976 and started in 1967 in the ABA.
