In an emotional news conference, the mayor of Wichita, Kansas said her city is grieving the "tragic" plane collision between a passenger jet and an Army helicopter outside of Washington, DC Wednesday night.

Officials said American Eagle Flight 5342 was attempting to land at Reagan National Airport when it collided with the helicopter midair. Federal officials said all 60 passengers and four crew members on board the American Airlines flight and three soldiers on board the helicopter are presumed dead.
