An air quality advisory has been issued for the Adirondacks for the second weekend in a row as wildfires in Canada continue to burn.

For the full 24 hours of Aug. 3, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is issuing an air quality health advisory for the Western New York, Eastern Lake Ontario and Adirondacks regions.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has issued an air quality health advisory for fine particulates for Sunday. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for fine particulates.
