Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval at the Kremlin on Thursday, Russia's state-run RIA news agency reported, citing the Kremlin press service.

Ajit Doval arrived in Moscow for discussions on energy and defense cooperation, coinciding with Trump imposing a 25% tariff on Indian goods. Doval met with President Putin at the Kremlin to prepare for Putin's upcoming visit to India.

India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Russia’s Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu in Moscow to discuss ways to deepen the special and privileged strategic partnership between the two countries.
