Crowds of Catholic faithful gathered in Buenos Aires to bid farewell to Pope Francis as his funeral was held in the Vatican on Saturday.

Pope Francis never set foot in his native Argentina during his papacy. That left many of the faithful in his homeland feeling puzzled and snubbed by the world’s first Latin American pope.
