Any two members of the City Council could use a parliamentary maneuver on Wednesday to delay a final vote on the mayor's plan, without having to give a reason.

Mayor Brandon Johnson spoke on Tuesday on a number of issues that have made headlines in recent weeks – from his upcoming testimony before Congress on sanctuary laws to the mass exodus of senior staffers last week to the City Hall gift room his team won't allow reporters access to.

Johnson is naming CPS parent Cydney Wallace to represent parts of five neighborhoods on the partly elected, partly appointed school board.
