The Israeli military on Thursday said its warplanes fired on southern Lebanon after detecting Hezbollah activity at a rocket storage facility, the first Israeli airstrike a day after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took hold.

Less than two full days into a ceasefire, Israel's military and Hezbollah were both claiming isolated breaches of the deal.

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon appears to be holding, raising hopes of a lasting respite after a 13-month border conflict that spiraled into an all-out war in September.
