Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage Tharanga produced a monstrous throw of 89.75m to win the gold medal in the men's javelin throw at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, beating Neeraj Chopra. India's double Olympic medallist won silver with a best throw of 85.83m, while his compatriot Yashvir Singh claimed bronze with a personal-best effort of 85.41m.

Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage wins gold, while Neeraj Chopra takes silver, but Arshad Nadeem ,makes early exit.
