Clearly, Moore, a former NFL quarterback himself, has no concerns about the future of Shough, regardless of his age. With the Saints projected to pick fairly high in the 2026 NFL Draft, it will be interesting to see how Shough finishes the season, and if they feel they need to make a change at the quarterback position.

A recent report suggested that first-year New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore may need to notch a few wins to hold onto his job through the upcoming offseason. Moore's players responded by earning a 24-20 victory at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6) that improved New Orleans to 3-10 on Sunday.
The Saints, who already have one win against the Panthers, are just 3-10 and at the bottom of that same NFC South ladder. Credit goes to Moore for having a team that hasn’t quit. His players had every reason to give up after winning just one of their first eight games.
