A man was shot and killed and a woman wounded in the emergency room of a Tacoma, Washington, hospital Wednesday evening, the city's police department says. A search is on for the shooter.

Tacoma police arrested a 25-year-old man Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault connected to a fatal Aug. 6 shooting in a hospital emergency room. Investigators tracked the man to Kittitas County, with assistance from Spokane police, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service, according to a news release sent Friday evening.
