The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers play Thursday night and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony is Saturday.

F ootball is back. While NFL training camps are just gaining steam as many teams transition to fully padded action, two of the league's 32 clubs will hit the field for an actual game this week: It's the Detroit Lions versus the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, the official opener for this year's preseason slate.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, a former Auburn wide receiver, stood out in the 2025 Hall of Fame game. Drafted by the Chargers, Lambert-Smith had two catches for 43 yards and a touchdown in his preseason debut. He received the highest offensive grade from Pro Football Focus for his performance.
