Tesla’s diner is well suited for those fans in so deep it’s “like a cult,” Greenspan says—but the goal is to feed something bigger. “What makes a diner is hospitality,” he says. “It needs to feel comfortable, welcoming, and that’s really hard to do in a quick-service environment, especially when we’re serving you in your car.”

On an event page for a "Tesla Diner SoCal Protest," the organizer, Tesla Takedown, points to Musk's handling of X, saying it boosts conspiracy theories and extremist views. The page also calls out Tesla's Full Self-Driving feature as "fraud."

The Tesla Diner has 80 charging stations, two giant megascreens and American diner food. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
