With Jim Schwartz reportedly 'out' after being passed over for head coach, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has one final card to play to save the NFL’s #1 defense.
While talking to reporters following new head coach Todd Monken's introductory press conference, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam revealed the start date for construction of the team's enclosed stadium.
Haslam said construction on the Browns’ planned enclosed stadium in Brook Park will begin on or around March 2, despite a lingering legal challenge over the state’s use of $600 million in unclaimed funds for the project, as well as a lawsuit filed by former Cleveland mayor Dennis Kucinich seeking to block the team’s move.
The Cleveland Browns continue their search for a new coach after the departure of Kevin Stefanski earlier this month. The Browns fired Stefanski after finishing the regular season with a 5-12 record.
