Hong Kong’s post office has announced it would continue to suspend shipping items containing goods to the United States until further notice, despite its American counterpart having reversed its ban on packages from the city and other parts of China.

The United States Postal Service said Wednesday it is resuming package mail from China and Hong Kong. Those mail shipments were suspended Tuesday night.

The US Postal Service says it has temporarily suspended the acceptance of international parcels from China and Hong Kong until further notice. It did not provide a reason for the suspension, but said in a statement Tuesday the flow of letters will not be affected.
